Pie chart

If you are wondering how I got this data, this is what I did:
Well I made a form on Google docs and I sent it to everyone in my classroom to fill out. Once the survey was completed by everyone in the class, I got the data and sorted it out into groups. I created a new sheet, to create a tally of the data. Copied my data into my new card. Then I made it into a pie chart.

If I look at this graph, I see that 43.5% people in my class want to go to Hawaii, and only 34.8% want to go to America. I was surprised because I made a prediction that America would be the most popular.

  1. Hi Selena,

What a lovely post about your first time using Google Spreadsheet and making a pie chart. I was surprised too, when you said that Hawaii was more popular. In the survey you gave me, I had chosen America.

I have finally found out that a lot of people in our class want to go to Hawaii. Also by giving your viewers a picture of your pie chart, you tell more and it shows what people like most.

I have made a chart as well but my one is a Bar graph. You might like it. Well why don't you go and check it out. My graph is about what peoples favourite teacher from our school is? You might be interested. If you click on my name above then it will take you to my blog.

    Your Sincerely,
    Mubasshira

  2. Selena,

My name is Michael Armstrong, and I am a student at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama in the United States. I am in Dr. Strange's EDM310 class, and was assigned to comment on your post.

I am very impressed at your use of Google Docs. I am 26 years old and in college and am only now learning to use Google Docs. If I were to have taken your survey I would have probably answered Russia. I am not surprised that people would want to go to Hawaii over the mainland United States though. Hawaii is a great vacation spot and I would love to go there as well some day.

    Keep up the good work,

    Michael Armstrong
